The website Text Adventures has some pretty interesting text-based games. I've played through both Dungeons & Deadlines & Robin Johnson's Detectiveland. Dungeons & Deadlines seems like it can be applied to career training session albeit with a more humorous streak. It is a card-based text game where the goal is to keep your Esteem, Family, and Health levels from dropping to zero while keeping Stress from reaching up to ten points. Either way, if any of these happen, a game over results. The play of certain actions/cards will allow for both stat increases and decreases depending on the card played. The goal is to make it past the thirty days of your job. Most cards/actions are accompanied by humorous dialogue that is very relatable. What I took from the game is that training systems are possible through text-based games and they offer for amusing ways of training, but I'm more interested in how we can incorporate a visual feedback with the narrative system as well in terms of retail/customer service training in particular.
Addendum: Promethean AI is currently unavailable for public use as they are only doing early adopters for game development teams. My current weekly work schedule is the same as the previous post.
